four year commitment

Members understand that regardless of their status within or outside the four-year commitment that they will uphold and actively promote the Aims and Values of the HKFC Hockey section as described in the section’s bye-laws.

Members understand that if they are still subject to the four-year commitment period that they will:

• be an active umpire. 
• attend matches (70%),
• attend training (70%), 
• attend social events (End of Season Ball and Christmas Party),
• attend the AGM,
• pro-actively volunteer to help with the administration of the section where they can find the opportunity to do so and as positions arise at some point within their four year period. This may include, but is not limited to, work in one or more of the following areas of the section: 
  • serve on the committee
  • become a captain
  • become a vice-captain or team social secretary
  • attend tours
  • help coach the mini or youth teams
  • coach a senior team

Members acknowledge that if they fail to meet this standard the section may withdraw support for their four-year membership or transition to full membership at any time.
