HKFC Easter Sixes

2017 tournament dates - April 14th to 16th

The HKFC Hockey Easter Sixes Tournament is held annually over the Easter weekend.

Entry into the 2017 tournament is now by invitation only due to the huge demand for team places. The invitations will be sent out in September 2016.

Tournament format:

  1. Hockey Sixes Competition (16 teams, social mixed)
  2. Men's Elite competition (6-8 teams)
  3. Men's Super Sixes Series - Island vs Peninsula (2 teams, exhibition games)

The mixed Hockey Sixes competition is a very social, yet competitive weekend. Participating teams hail from Switzerland, Malaysia, Dubai, China, Japan and of course Hong Kong. These inter-club teams, each with at least two ladies playing at all times, provide a great opportunity for all different age groups and ability to play with and against one another. The Hockey Sixes has become a fabulously fun family hockey weekend!

The Men’s Elite competition evolved from the International Hockey Fives, hosted in parallel to the 2013 Hockey Sixes weekend. Some of the world’s best players were on show in Hong Kong, most having just competed at the London Olympics. In keeping with the elite focus and the Hockey Sixes theme, the Men’s Elite competition provides an opportunity for Hong Kong’s top clubs to compete for the coveted trophy and winner's prize cheque.

The Super Sixes series is a purely ‘showcase hockey’, offering the competing social teams an opportunity to sit back and enjoy the super-charged excitement before main competition finals are played. The best of the best from the Kowloon Peninsula take on their counterparts from HK Island, in the best of three matches. Bragging rights are up for grabs and after a long weekend of hockey, these matches are great motivation for the main competition finalists!
